Shaye Paper Products Pty Ltd has been in business for over 22 years. During these years of production, we have learnt many things along the way. The secret to our success is no real secret. We value integrity, hard work and respect. Respect for people.

Shaye Paper Products was founded in 1989 by two friends.

With no sales or marketing experience, the company quickly went into debt and the founders had to constantly inject more of their personal funds in order to keep the company running.

Following six months of continually infusing personal funds, the two friends decided to go back to their roots and convert half the tissue factory into a clothing factory. This half too, went into debt.

Eventually, the wife of one of the friends’ was brought in to help. She borrowed money from friends, with no other collateral than her word, in order to clear out some of the debt that had been incurred. A broker with more experience was also hired to help market and sell the products.

About four months later, the other founder came to the wife with two other friends who wanted to invest as silent shareholders. He told her that as the company still required more funds to keep it running, and he was unable to inject in any more, this was the only solution he could think of. The wife had not wanted any more Shareholders as she worried that it may cause problems in the future. As such, she told him that she would be willing to sell her own shares, as well as her husbands, to him and his friends instead. They stated that they will not be able to run the business without her; as a result, the other shareholder sold his shares to the husband and wife.

During these formative years, everyone was working anywhere from 16-18 hours per day, seven days a week; working on both tissues and clothing.

In 1992, a major tender was won, and this proved to be the turning point for the struggling company.

The husband and wife arrived in Australia with their two children and nothing but two bags of clothing to their name. Today, Shaye Paper Products is a successful dynamic company, manufacturing their own brands as well as being trade partners previous and current to all the major Australian retailers including Woolworths, Aldi Stores, Franklins, Coles Supermarkets and Bi-Lo.

As contract manufacturing specialist, in the away from home markets, to name a few, we have the pleasure of being trade partners, past and present, to nationwide clients including Livingstone International, Complete Office Supplies, and Viking Office Supplies.
